Exploring Spanish language and culture at every grade level.

At Notre Dame Elementary and Middle School, students begin learning Spanish in Kindergarten, with classes offered through 8th grade. Early exposure focuses on foundational vocabulary, basic grammar, and conversational skills through songs, games, and interactive activities that engage all learning styles.

The curriculum builds each year, incorporating reading, writing, and cultural studies—such as geography, traditions, and prayer—to develop well-rounded language learners.

By the end of 5th grade, students are prepared for middle school proficiency and continued growth. In grades 7 and 8, students have the opportunity to complete a Spanish I course and earn high school credit—giving them a strong advantage as they transition to high school language programs.
