At Notre Dame Elementary and Middle School, our religion curriculum supports students in their spiritual development, including sacramental preparation.
However, the reception of sacraments—such as Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation—is administered through each student's home parish. Parents are encouraged to contact their parish in early September to enroll their child in the appropriate sacramental preparation programs.
Please note that Notre Dame students are not required to attend Parish School of Religion (PSR) classes, as our comprehensive religious education program fulfills the necessary faith formation requirements.
Reconciliation & First Communion
- Preparation takes place as part of the 2nd grade religion curriculum.
- These sacraments are received at the student’s home parish.
- Students also participate in monthly school liturgies or prayer services.
Confirmation
- Religious instruction is provided in 8th grade.
- The grade level and requirements for receiving Confirmation vary by parish and are managed by each family’s home parish.
