The caring and nurturing environment of Notre Dame Elementary and Middle School provides an atmosphere in which academics and spiritual growth and flourish together.

Who We Are

Notre Dame Elementary and Middle School holds the unique distinction of being both the first private Catholic school in Geauga County and a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Notre Dame. Rooted in the charism and educational vision of the Sisters, our schools are dedicated to helping each child grow in faith, knowledge, and service.

Our students come from across Geauga County and neighboring communities, representing a variety of parishes and public school districts. They benefit from the rich traditions, deep faith, and commitment to excellence established by the Sisters who founded our school and by the many Sisters who have served here throughout the years.

The Sisters of Notre Dame, a Catholic congregation of women religious, are united in one heart, one hope, and one mission: to proclaim God’s goodness and compassionate love for people of all faiths and cultures. This mission continues to inspire and guide the work of Notre Dame Elementary and Notre Dame Middle School today.

Extracurricular Opportunities

Students have the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of after-school clubs and academic competitions, including the Spelling Bee, Art, Chess, Drama, Golf, Ski Club, and CYO Sports. Middle School students can also participate in specialized programs such as First LEGO League Robotics, Mock Trial, and Power of the Pen.

Additionally, Middle School students can get involved in Student Council and have the chance to qualify for regional and state-level competitions, including the Science Fair and Ohio History Day.

Financial Assistance

Recognizing the financial commitment our families make to provide their children an excellent education at Notre Dame Elementary and Middle School, we make every effort to provide need-based assistance to families with demonstrated need. Notre Dame Schools participates in the EdChoice Scholarship Program available from the Ohio Department of Education and families can apply for additional support from Notre Dame Schools through FACTS Grant & Aid.
